I’m trying to study for my English course and I need some help to understand this question.
PICK TWO READINGS TO COMPARE/CONTRAST:
“Aria” (456) Rodriguez
“A Tale of Three Coming Out Stories”(178) Gay
“Black Men In Public Spaces” (267) Staples
“How It Feels to Be Colored Me” (42) Hurston
Be sure to use THREE direct quotes from the text to support your thesis. (Five paragraph set up, same as first essay!)
In all four of the essays we read in the past two weeks, the main theme found in all of them was dealing with identity. Pick TWO of the articles and use examples from each to explain how identity is explored in their story. Compare and contrast how the authors expressed their identities and society’s reactions to them.
