Assignment: Select an organization and conduct a SWOT Analysis.
Culminating Project: This project is an artifact that you may upload to your ManeSync account. This artifact should be saved as it may come in handy before
the end of your ORGL program.
You must earn a grade of 80% or better on this assignment to pass this class.
In this Leadership Theory I class, we have discussed the leadership role with the principles and practice of management of organizations. The two functions
of management addressed in the class were planning and organizing with a particular focus on strategic management.
This project will assist you with synthesizing your prior knowledge with the new knowledge you have gained during the class.
The objective of this assignment is for you to strategically think about the factors that go into becoming an effective leader for any organization.
Special note: This assignment must be your own work and based on your knowledge of the organization you have chosen. Academic dishonesty, plagiarism,
which is the copying of someone else’s work is NOT tolerated. This degree program uses TurnItIn, which finds text that matches other sources. Changing a
company name, peoples’ names, dates, or using alternative phrases or words does NOT constitute YOUR original work. You can look to Purdue OWL’s
Quoting, Paraphrasing, and Summarizing. Therefore, pick an organization you are familiar with AND that will allow you to complete ALL portions of the SWOT
analysis. You should cite sources within your work.
Please use the SWOT Analysis Template document for the Culminating Project. Make sure you have an introduction for your paper. Within the table, you must
identify at least five items for each category of the SWOT table; meaning you have 20 items total.
Please use the SWOT Analysis Grading Rubric as a reference when working on your analysis. You are evaluated on the quality of your company overview,
SWOT analysis, recommendations, and syntax.
Watch this SWOT Analysis video to learn how to use a SWOT analysis to create a successful competitive position. There is a transcriipt available on the site.

follow the instructions and review the rubric.
An example of SMART objectives that you should have as a sentence in your recommendations section can be found at https://www.swotanalysis.com/howto-set-a-smart-objective-for-your-swot-analysis.html
Add a “References” (APA 7th edition format) page at the end of your document to list properly all resources that you used to prepare the project/paper.
DUE DATE: The last day of class
Please submit this assignment by selecting the Culminating Project link in the assignment area and uploading the file at the bottom of the page. Once your
paper has been graded and you have earned an 80% or better, you should upload your revised and final version to Mane Sync (temporary ePortfolio).
Please submit your project by Wednesday of the last week of class. Submitting it early (before the last day of class) allows the project to be graded, feedback
to be provided, time for you to make any necessary edits, and submit the revision. Submitting before the deadline because you run the risk of not knowing
and/or not meeting the 80% score where you demonstrate your learning and not being able to submit your edited work.
Please review the rubric associated with the assignment. It shows you the specific grading standards on how each section will be scoredSWOT ANALYSIS for [insert organization] Rev. 4-27-2021

[Strategic planning for your organization requires an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of your organization as it stands. Completing a SWOT Analysis helps you determine internal and external strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Identifying your organization’s needs will help you plan for the future.

Assignment: Complete a SWOT analysis for an organization of your choosing. Use this template. You must not only identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats but also explain why you characterized them as such. Once the SWOT analysis has been completed, select one goal as a process to be used in an improvement plan. This goal will be used as the basis for your culminating project in the second part of this class, ORGL 4342: Leadership Theory II. Remove the red text before submitting your paper.]
