The requirements below must be met:

To get full credit on the case brief, you must use the case questions‎ themselves as headings.  In addition, you must fully answer these questions. It is not enough to state the law. You must also provide the facts that the court relied upon when reaching a decision where appropriate. 

Below is an example of how this can be done:

  1.    Wal -Mart Stores v. Cassias (Ch 1, p 17)
    1. What was the legal issue of the case?
      1. The legal issue of this case was ….
    2. What did the court decide?
      1. The court decided to X…..
      2. Failure to do this will result in 10 points being deducted from your grade.

References must come from sources such as, scholarly journals found in EBSCOhost, CNN, online newspapers such as, The Wall Street Journal, government websites, etc. Sources such as, Wikis, Yahoo Answers, eHow, blogs, etc. are not acceptable for academic writing.
